Job summary

Sport Education Swim School Ltd is seeking a dedicated swimming teacher to join our coaching team across Bristol, Bath and Melksham. You will coach young swimmers, align with our philosophy, and promote values of discipline and respect.

Candidates with UKCC Level 2 or ASA Level 2, or those progressing to Level 2, are encouraged to apply. IOS membership and a clean DBS are required; weekend and evening work is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• ASA or UKCC Level 2 or working towards.
• Valid IOS membership.
• Experience of coaching within the relevant age groups.
• Computer skills (Word/Excel/Access).
• High levels of communication skills, both orally and written.
• Willingness to work weekends and evenings.
• Clean DBS Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard coaching to a swim stage group in line with the school philosophy.
• Ensure children adhere to swim school values with respect and discipline.
• Assist more advanced swimmers to set goals and provide feedback via termly reports.
• Develop professional relationships with parents of swimmers.
• Complete CPD to maintain coaching qualifications.
• Work with Head of Coaching on a personal Coach Development Plan.
• Maintain IOS membership criteria.
• Attend coach in-service days as instructed.
• Support development of young swimmers in healthy lifestyle, diet and education.
• Take responsibility for care and maintenance of training equipment.
• Attend bi-monthly coaches meetings or extra training nights.
