The University of Nottingham is recruiting Level 1 Swimming Assistants to help deliver group lessons for Juniors and Early Years, in partnership with Swim England. Training will be provided on the job, with regular teaching slots across evenings and weekends, and a focus on stroke technique and water skills.
No prior Early Years experience is required for this role; commitment to start from September and continue through July, with Christmas, Easter, and Summer breaks observed.
The University of Nottingham is looking to recruit Level 1‑qualified Swimming Assistants who are willing to assist with teaching group lessons for Juniors (4.5 years and above) and Early Years (6 weeks to 4.5 years). We work in partnership with Swim England to provide high quality swimming lessons focused on developing stroke technique and a range of water skills. Cover positions are available, and regular hours will be available next year. Please be advised that no previous experience of assisting Early Years lessons is required, training will be offered on the job. The University of Nottingham offers a fantastic hourly rate of pay and is committed to ongoing training and development.
Regular teaching slots available: Mondays 16.00-18.30, Tuesdays 16.00-18.30, Thursdays 16.00-18.30, Saturday 9.00-13.00, 9.00-12.15, 12.00-16.00 & 14.00-17.30, Sundays 9.00-12.30, 9.00-13.00. If you are interested in regular teaching slots, you will need to be able to work from the start of September or as soon as you are successful in the role, until the end of July. The programme breaks for 2 weeks at Christmas, one week at Easter and 5 weeks over the Summer Holidays.
