Freedom Leisure invites applications for a Swim Teacher at Cirencester Leisure Centre to deliver swimming lessons to customers of all ages and abilities, ensuring they feel supported and are achieving their goals.

This role emphasises clear communication with parents, pool safety supervision, and requires a Level 2 swimming teaching qualification with Enhanced DBS check. Casual hours and training are provided, along with a staff benefits package.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a positive, customer‑facing approach.
• Ability to engage with children and parents to monitor progress.
• Strong awareness of pool safety and supervision duties.
• Experience with DBS checks and safeguarding is preferred.
• Level 2 swimming teaching qualification is required to teach.
• Enhanced DBS check is a stated requirement for this role.

Responsibilities

• To teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre’s swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience
• To communicate with the children’s parents/guardians concerning their development, and advise on their progression through the programme
• To assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline
