Job summary

Freedom Leisure is hiring a Swim Teacher to deliver swimming lessons for customers of all ages. The role offers casual hours as needed and training will be provided to help you progress in the programme.

The position emphasizes strong customer communication and safety, with responsibilities including supervising pool areas and engaging with parents. DBS checks and Level 2 qualification are highlighted requirements.

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers.
Ability to communicate with children’s parents/guardians concerning development.
Willingness to gain Level 2 qualification if not already held.
Enhanced DBS check required.

Responsibilities

To teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre’s swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience.
To communicate with the children’s parents/guardians concerning their development, and advise on their progression through the programme.
To assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline.
Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers.
An ability to deal with children and their parents.
