Job summary

Freedom Leisure is hiring a Swim Teacher for casual hours at Goldenstones Leisure Centre to deliver swimming lessons for people of all ages and abilities. You will help swimmers feel supported and work toward personal goals in a safe, encouraging environment.

The role requires Level 2 swimming teaching qualification and Enhanced DBS check, with training provided. You will communicate effectively with children and parents, ensuring progress and safeguarding at all times.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers.
• An ability to deal with children and their parents.

Responsibilities

• To teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre’s swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience
• To communicate with the children’s parents/guardians concerning their development, and advise on their progression through the programme
• To assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline
• To ensure learners feel supported and are achieving their goals
• To contribute to a welcoming and safe environment for all Centre users
