Jefferies in London seeks a technically oriented senior software engineer to own and deliver on the Equity Swaps platform, combining architectural leadership with hands-on development.

You will work with front and middle office users across time zones, write high-quality code, perform unit testing, and contribute to production releases while collaborating with global colleagues.

Salary: £70,000 - 110,000 per year

Requirements:

• Technically minded and comfortable acting as both architect and hands-on developer
• Strong and experienced C++ developer
• Capable Java developer with coding experience in the workplace
• Strong hands-on experience with multi-threading and real-time systems
• Experience using SQL, preferably MS SQL Server
• Experience with Git-based source control platforms, beneficial
• Experience with Atlassian products including Confluence, JIRA, and BitBucket, beneficial
• Experience developing and supporting Windows technology applications, both desktop UI and server-side
• Familiarity with developing for Linux deployment
• Knowledge of swaps desirable, preferably with prior experience in this or a related area
• Excellent communication skills, as this is a front office role
• Ability to perform well under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
• Ability to work with colleagues around the world

Responsibilities:
