Job summary

Morson Edge (Financial Services) Equity Swaps Middle Office role in London seeks a senior associate/VP to own the post-trade lifecycle and reconcile positions daily. You will liaise with traders, clients, settlements and technology to ensure accurate trade processing and continuous improvement.

Hybrid working pattern with three days in the office, offering exposure to prime brokerage workflows and automation initiatives as the firm scales its UK operations.

Qualifications

• Middle office, trade support or operations experience covering equity swaps, TRS or other OTC derivatives.
• Experience in a bank, broker-dealer or prime broker environment.
• Strong knowledge of swap lifecycle including financing, margin and collateral.
• Understanding of ISDA documentation, confirmations and EMIR trade reporting.
• Confidence engaging with traders, clients and tech teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the post-trade lifecycle of the equity swaps desk from bookings to confirmations, resets, dividends and terminations.
• Ensure positions, cash and P&L reconcile daily and coordinate with settlements and technology.
• Collaborate with engineering to automate processes as the business scales.
• Act as the link between trading, clients and operations to shape UK middle-office functions.

My client, a fast-growing capital markets technology and prime brokerage firm, is looking for an Equity Swaps Middle Office specialist to join its London team on a permanent basis. The role is hybrid, with three days a week in their office.

The firm already runs a successful equity swaps business in the US, and this is the first swaps middle office hire in the UK. You’ll own the post-trade lifecycle of the desk’s swaps, from booking checks and confirmations through to resets, dividends, financing, corporate actions and terminations. You’ll also make sure positions, cash and P&L reconcile every day. Acting as the link between trading, clients, settlements and technology, you’ll help shape how the UK function runs. You’ll work with engineering to automate processes as the business scales.

To be successful in this role you will bring:

• Middle office, trade support or operations experience covering equity swaps, TRS or other OTC derivatives
• A background at a bank, broker-dealer or prime broker
• Strong knowledge of the swap lifecycle, including financing, margin and collateral
• A good understanding of ISDA documentation, confirmations and trade reporting such as EMIR
• Confidence working with traders, clients and technical teams
• Experience with prime brokerage, synthetic prime or automation projects (desirable)
• A degree in Finance, Economics or related field
