Job summary

Arup is recruiting Mechanical Building Services Engineering Summer Students to join our Buildings teams across the UK. This 6-week internship offers hands-on experience with project teams, alongside Architects, Building Services, Building Physics and Geotechnical Engineers, Surveyors and Project Managers.

Students in their final or penultimate year pursuing MEng/BEng in Mechanical, Architectural or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent) are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• You must be in your final or penultimate year studying towards a MEng or BEng in Mechanical, Architectural or Building Services Engineering, or equivalent.
• Demonstrate strong motivation and passion for a career in building design.
• STEM minded individuals who are keen to use their engineering acumen to design the services that make buildings comfortable; willing to communicate, calculate, and learn 3D/thermal software.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of project teams to deliver professional services to clients.
• Collaborate with Architects, Building Services, Building Physics, Geotechnical Engineers, Surveyors and Project Managers.
• Develop ideas from concept through to site visits and final designs.
