Job summary

De Montfort University in Leicester is seeking a Sustainability Coordinator to support the Estates & Facilities Directorate in delivering progress on UN SDGs across teaching, research and campus operations. You will monitor and coordinate a range of projects, engage staff and students in sustainable behaviours, and prepare reports while assisting with transport initiatives.

Some evening/weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience working on environmental and transport issues.
• Understanding of transport and environmental legislation.
• Ability to respond positively to stakeholder requirements to meet targets.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring, coordinating, delivering and administering sustainability initiatives at DMU.
• Work on projects including sustainable travel, education for sustainable development, environmental management and staff/student engagement.
• Coordinate the university’s sustainable transport activities and encourage participation.
• Produce accurate reports using Word and Excel and promote events via social media.
• Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
