Job summary

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust in Brighton is seeking a Sustainability Strategy and Programme Manager for a fixed-term 12-month role, reporting to the Head of Sustainability & Environment. You will lead sustainability and net-zero programmes across NHS organisations, develop Green Plans, and support climate adaptation and carbon reporting.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate level in sustainability or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in sustainability within a complex organisation.
• Experience of NHS or public sector sustainability programmes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• General: Support the Head of Sustainability and Environment to deliver Trust sustainability and net-zero targets.
• Sustainability and net-zero strategy development: Lead Green Plans and roadmaps for partner NHS organisations.
• Sustainability programme management: Manage day-to-day delivery of programmes with regular updates and KPIs.
• Carbon footprinting, data analysis & reporting: Develop carbon footprint methodology and reporting for the Trust and partners.
