Job summary

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Sustainability Strategy and Programme Manager for a 12-month fixed term. You will lead the development of sustainability and net zero strategies, manage multi-disciplinary projects, and deliver KPIs across NHS partners in the Sussex and Surrey ICS and beyond.

You will coordinate sustainability reporting, carbon footprinting, and climate adaptation work, while developing external opportunities and ensuring alignment with NHSE Greener NHS

Qualifications

• Post-graduate level or equivalent experience in sustainability.
• Experience managing sustainability programmes and projects.
• Knowledge of NHS sustainability requirements and environmental legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of Green Plans and Net Zero roadmaps for partner NHS organisations.
• Manage day-to-day delivery of sustainability programmes across NHS organisations with progress updates and KPIs.
• Develop and maintain carbon footprint methodology and sustainability reporting.
• Deliver sustainability-focused training to staff.
• Collaborate with the Head of Sustainability to advance the Trust's strategy and external opportunities.
