Job summary

Rullion is seeking a Sustainability Manager near Whitehaven to lead energy management and carbon reduction initiatives across projects. You will drive compliant plans, coordinate with design teams and suppliers, and guide sustainable practices in line with client Sustainability Plans.

The role involves developing tools and reporting for energy and GHG metrics, championing improvements, and contributing to winning bids.

Qualifications

Degree level preferred; ISEF membership or similar body desirable.
Experience in sustainability within construction or nuclear sectors.
Good understanding of carbon reduction planning and ISO 50001 requirements.

Responsibilities

Develop project-specific sustainability plans aligned to client strategy.
Liaise with site teams and supply chain to meet sustainability objectives on time.
Create communication tools to inform clients and stakeholders about sustainability issues and performance.
Support ISO 50001 commitments; collect and report energy and GHG data.
Identify opportunities to improve value through more sustainable approaches.
Assist designers and engineers in adopting sustainable materials and practices.
Capture best practices and produce case studies to share learning.
Engage with procurement to drive continuous sustainability improvements.
Report monthly on project and business sustainability performance.
Identify opportunities to develop skills and support projects.
Contribute to winning work via PQQs, tenders, and interviews.
