Job summary

Cranleigh STEM & Sustainability Recruitment is supporting a leading manufacturing organisation in the UK to recruit a hands-on Sustainability Manager. This role turns sustainability strategy into practical action on the shop floor, collaborating with Operations, Technical, R&D and Procurement to deliver and measure projects.

You will own sustainability data and KPIs, drive environmental improvements, support ISO 14001/9001/45001, conduct internal audits, and partner with R&D to embed

Qualifications

• Manufacturing background required.
• Delivery-focused sustainability professional on the ground.
• Experience with environmental management, carbon reduction, ISO systems and reporting advantageous.

We’re recruiting a Sustainability Manager for a leading manufacturing organisation. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys turning sustainability strategy into practical action across a manufacturing environment.

You’ll work closely with Operations, Technical, R&D and Procurement, taking ownership of sustainability projects from planning through to delivery and measuring the results.

Key responsibilities:

About You

A manufacturing background is essential. You’ll be a practical, delivery-focused sustainability professional who is comfortable being on the ground, engaging with operational teams and personally driving projects forward.

Experience across environmental management, carbon reduction, ISO systems, sustainability reporting and responsible sourcing would be highly advantageous.

The position will initially be site-based, moving to a hybrid working arrangement once established.
