Job description

Sustainability Engagement Associate [Code: 9092076]
Collectiv Food
Company Information and Introduction

Reporting to Director of Impact & Strategy | Permanent - Full Time | Based in London, UK | Salary: £30-35K | Start ASAP

Collectiv Food exists to build a smarter, more transparent food ecosystem, one where sustainability is not a side initiative, but fundamental to how we grow, compete and lead.

Achieving our ambitions as a business is as much about real environmental progress as it is about building long-term value. As a certified B Corp, we hold ourselves to high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability, and our Impact Roadmap translates those commitments into how we grow the business day to day. As we scale, we are focussed on deepening the foundations we’ve already built: strengthening supplier sustainability performance, improving the integrity of our carbon and traceability data, and continuing to turn our impact efforts into a driver of measurable and commercially meaningful value for our customer and supply partners.

To help deliver on these ambitions, we are looking for a Sustainability Engagement Associate who understands both sides of that equation: someone who is passionate about environmental progress and brings a keen eye for data integrity, while also recognising that sustainability in a scaling business must fundamentally drive tangible value, growth and resilience.

This is a hands-on, cross-functional role at the heart of our impact infrastructure. Reporting to the Director of Impact & Strategy and working closely with the Buying, Account Management, Tech and Operations teams, you will help ensure our sustainability commitments are delivered with rigour and credibility, while strengthening how our impact efforts create value for our customers and suppliers, ultimately supporting Collectiv Food’s continued growth.

For the right individual, this role also offers a clear pathway into a Sustainability Engagement Lead position as Collectiv Food continues to grow.

Ensure accuracy of product specifications, certifications and traceability data, supporting both compliance and customer trust

Identify opportunities to strengthen processes that enable reliable, defensible impact reporting of value to both customers and suppliers

Customer Impact & Market Positioning

Support production and refinement of customer impact reports, ensuring they are accurate, compelling and commercially useful

Work with Account Management to support customer onboarding and engagement with our growing sustainability support

Develop Better Choice newsletters and sustainability content that enhances customer loyalty and brand positioning while supporting our sustainable sourcing goals

Contribute to materials and industry events that position Collectiv Food as a leader in transparent, impact-driven supply
