About the team and the role

Working in the Sustainability team within Ocado Brand, Sourcing & Sustainability (OBSS), the Sustainability Data Analyst will play a key role in gathering, analysing, and reporting environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance across the business. This role supports data-driven decision-making to reduce environmental impact, ensure regulatory compliance, and meet sustainability targets aligned with the Ocado Retail’s Planet Together strategy.

What you’ll do
  • Data Collection & Management: Collect, validate, and manage sustainability-related data, including energy use, emissions (Scope 1, 2, and 3), packaging, food waste, water, and supply chain metrics. Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to gather accurate and timely data.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyse ESG data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Create reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders and external disclosures. Support internal stakeholders on policy, strategy, and decision-making.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Work with internal and external teams to identify data sources, establish data collection processes, and ensure data accuracy. Contribute to developing and implementing sustainability strategies by providing data-driven insights.
  • Compliance: Ensure data and reporting meet relevant regulatory and voluntary standards and frameworks. Work with data providers to maintain databases and improve data accuracy for mandatory reports across all pillars of the Planet Together strategy.
  • System Support: Maintain or help implement sustainability data management systems and software. Identify opportunities to automate and streamline data processes.
