Job summary

Bristol Waste Company is seeking a skilled Engagement Manager to strengthen its reputation by delivering impactful engagement projects. You will communicate with customers and stakeholders, improve the customer experience, and collaborate with communities to tackle environmental challenges.

The role entails overseeing a team of Engagement Officers, coordinating with Marketing and Operations, and reporting on outcomes. A driving licence and knowledge of sustainability are desirable.

Qualifications

• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to collaborate with communities, partners, local authorities, volunteers and other stakeholders.
• Proven experience delivering engagement projects with measurable outcomes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, translating complex information into clear reports and messages.
• Creative problem-solver using initiative and behavior change concepts to drive engagement.
• Highly organized, independent, able to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
• Strong ICT skills and ability to develop financial models where required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee community engagement activities contributing to business objectives.
• Engage residents and stakeholders to resolve service issues, increase recycling, promote reuse and reduce waste.
• Share insights and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
• Identify new opportunities for engagement and education within the City.
• Monitor performance and impact of initiatives and report to Head of Sustainability and Customer Engagement.
• Collaborate with operations to deliver high quality, value-for-money services and ensure good customer experience.
• Work with Marketing & Communications to raise environmental awareness and share key engagement messages.
