Job summary

Bristol Waste Company is seeking a Community Engagement Campaign Assistant to join the daytime outreach team at Day’s Road. The role focuses on helping residents recycle more and waste less through canvassing, literature delivery and doorstep conversations.

You will record insights, distribute materials, and maintain clear progress communication with your contact, while helping ensure efficient campaign delivery and engagement with diverse communities.

Qualifications

• Strong time management skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with diverse audiences.
• Can multi-task and prioritise while interacting with the public.
• Knowledge of or interest in community engagement and sustainability.
• Experience interacting with members of the public.
• A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct guided doorstep conversations with residents to gather insights into behaviours and attitudes and provide relevant information on recycling.
• Accurately and promptly record information from resident conversations in a clear and structured manner.
• Distribute communication materials during engagements and deliver recycling containers, if required, following conversations.
• Maintain communication with point of contact, advising of progress, locations and any issues as required.
• Maintain paperwork and follow processes used to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the campaign delivery.
