Job summary

inamo sukoshi Sheffield is seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our fast-paced QSR kitchen at Cutlery Works in Sheffield. You will prep and present sushi and sashimi with speed and precision, delivering high-quality dishes to hundreds of guests daily.

We offer £14.00 per hour, full-time hours, and opportunities for training and progression within a growing brand. Immediate start with a passionate, team‑oriented kitchen focused on Asian-inspired food.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef in a restaurant, QSR, or food hall environment (must have experience).
• A passion for service, people, and fresh food, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• High energy and positivity – you’ll be working in a fast-paced environment serving hundreds of guests daily.
• A hunger to learn and develop further; we’ll support you during induction, then you’ll help support others once you’re confident.
• In the spirit of kaizen (continuous improvement), you’re always looking for ways to improve and raise standards.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate full sushi chef skills, including hand-rolling, fish cutting, and rice preparation.
• Maintain excellent food quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Support the kitchen team in delivering outstanding service for every guest.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
• Assist with daily opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain your section to the highest standards, keeping the kitchen clean and organised.

Sushi Chef – Quick Service Restaurant Sheffield

Alongside our tech-led restaurants, we operate five inamo sukoshi (meaning "little inamo") locations across Central London, Manchester, and Sheffield.

inamo sukoshi brings knockout sushi and fusion street food, inspired by flavours across Asia, to vibrant food hall-style venues. Guests can enjoy some of our award-winning dishes from the main restaurants — including our signature Dragon Rolls, Korean BBQ Ribs, and the new Chicken Katsu Curry — all served with the speed and flair of a QSR concept.

We’re now looking for a skilled Sushi Chef to join our Sheffield team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven sushi-making experience who thrives in a high-energy, fast-paced kitchen.
