Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Limited is seeking a Surveyor – Roofing in Dudley to conduct on-site surveys and produce formal quotations for roofing projects up to £50K. You will assess various roofs, quote reroofing or remediation works, and build strong contractor relationships while prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.

The ideal candidate has hands-on survey/estimating experience in roofing, knowledge of roofing/building legislation, and strong numerical and Excel skills to support accurate quotations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on survey/estimating experience within roofing
• Experience in flat roofing, pitched roofing, metal & zinc roofing, lead roofing, green roofs and roof repairs
• Sound understanding of roofing and building legislation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong numerical skills
• IT literate with Excel proficiency

The role of the Surveyor – Roofing will involve:

• Estimator position dealing with a range of roofing services across commercial and residential sectors such as: flat roofing, pithed roofing, lead roofing and roof repairs
• Attending pre booked surveys assessing various roofs and quoting reroofing or remediation works
• Producing formal quotations to clients
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors
• Prioritising workload to ensure deadlines are met
• Working on projects up to £50K

The ideal applicant will be Surveyor – Roofing with:

• Must have hands on survey/estimating experience within roofing
• Experienced in any of the following: flat roofing, pithed roofing, metal & zinc roofing, lead roofing, green roofs and roof repairs
• Sound understanding of roofing and building legislation
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong numerical skills
• IT literate (Microsoft Office, particularly savvy in Excel)
• Confident and articulate individual
