Penguin Recruitment is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join their Bristol team, undertaking surveying and analytical duties across multiple client sites in the South West. The role emphasizes independent work with an experienced technical team, ensuring compliance with HSG264, HSG248, and current asbestos legislation.

The successful candidate will hold BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (or equivalent), have prior asbestos surveying/analytical experience, and a full UK

Qualifications

• BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (or equivalent).
• Experience as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst.
• Understanding of HSG264, HSG248 and current asbestos legislation.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264.
• Undertaking air monitoring, four-stage clearances, reassurance testing, leak testing, and smoke testing in accordance with HSG248.
• Producing accurate and compliant asbestos survey and analytical reports.
• Conducting bulk asbestos sampling across a variety of commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and public sector properties.
• Managing your own workload efficiently across multiple client sites.
• Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy in their search for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join their team in Bristol.

THE ROLE

As an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, you will undertake both asbestos surveying and analytical duties across a range of client sites throughout the South West.

Working independently and alongside an experienced technical team, the Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst will deliver high-quality surveying and analytical services while ensuring full compliance with HSG264, HSG248, current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (or equivalent)
• Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
• Strong understanding of HSG264, HSG248, and current asbestos legislation
• Experience working within a UKAS-accredited consultancy is desirable
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills
• Professional, reliable, and quality-focused approach to work
