Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is working with a well-established UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy to appoint an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst in Gloucester and the wider South West region.

You will carry out Management, Refurbishment & Demolition surveys, air monitoring with 4-stage clearances, bulk sampling, and reporting, supporting commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and public sector projects. Salary £38,000–£42,000 DOE; permanent full-time.

Qualifications

  • BOHS P402, P403 & P404 (essential).
  • Experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst.
  • Strong understanding of HSG264, HSG248, and asbestos legislation.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills.
  • Professional, organised, and reliable.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out Management, Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in line with HSG264.
  • Undertaking air monitoring, including 4-stage clearances, leak testing, reassurance testing, and reoccupation certification in accordance with HSG248.
  • Conducting bulk sampling and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
  • Producing accurate and compliant asbestos survey and analytical reports.
  • Working across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and public sector properties.
  • Managing workload independently with support from an established operations team.
  • Ensuring all work complies with current legislation and HSE guidance.

The Role
