Job summary

Penguin Recruitment seeks an experienced Asbestos Surveyor Analyst to join a well‑established UKAS‑accredited consultancy in Birmingham. The role covers surveying and analytical duties across diverse client sites, with a structured workload and strong operational support.

You will work independently and with a technical team, ensuring compliance with HSG264/HSG248 and current asbestos legislation while delivering high‑quality surveys and reports for a varied property portfolio in the Midlands.

Qualifications

BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications are essential.
Experience as an Asbestos Surveyor Analyst.
Full UK driving licence.
Strong knowledge of HSG264, HSG248, and current asbestos legislation.
Experience in a UKAS-accredited consultancy desirable.

Responsibilities

Carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264.
Undertaking air monitoring, four-stage clearances, reassurance testing, leak testing, and smoke testing in accordance with HSG248.
Producing accurate and compliant asbestos survey and analytical reports.
Conducting bulk asbestos sampling across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and public sector properties.
Managing your own workload efficiently across multiple client sites.
Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.

THE ROLE

As an Asbestos Surveyor Analyst, you will undertake both asbestos surveying and analytical duties across a range of client sites throughout Birmingham and the surrounding region.

Working independently and alongside an experienced technical team, the Asbestos Surveyor Analyst will deliver high-quality surveying and analytical services while ensuring full compliance with HSG264, HSG248, current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.
