Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join our Bristol team, supporting a well-established UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy.

This dual-qualified role covers surveying and analytical duties across diverse client sites in the South West, with opportunities for progression and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Experience as Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst is required.
  • Strong knowledge of HSG264, HSG248, and current asbestos legislation is essential.
  • Full UK driving licence is required.
  • UKAS consultancy experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in line with HSG264.
  • Perform air monitoring, four-stage clearance, reassurance testing, leak testing, and smoke testing per HSG248.
  • Produce accurate and compliant asbestos survey and analytical reports.
  • Conduct bulk asbestos sampling across various properties.
  • Manage workload efficiently across multiple client sites.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Ensure all work complies with current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy in their search for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join their team in Bristol.

THE ROLE

As an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, you will undertake both asbestos surveying and analytical duties across a range of client sites throughout the South West.

Working independently and alongside an experienced technical team, the Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst will deliver high-quality surveying and analytical services while ensuring full compliance with HSG264, HSG248, current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
  • Strong understanding of HSG264, HSG248, and current asbestos legislation
  • Experience working within a UKAS-accredited consultancy is desirable
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills
  • Professional, reliable, and quality-focused approach to work
