Job summary

NES Fircroft are recruiting a Survey Workshop Engineer for one of their key Oilfield Services clients in Aberdeen, on a permanent staff basis. This is a full-time on-site role in the Survey Asset department, reporting to the Survey Asset Manager.

You will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance and testing of survey and positioning equipment, while supporting related logistical activities. The ideal candidate will have electronics equipment experience; ROV exposure is advantageous but not

• Experience with electronics equipment used in survey/positioning systems.
• ROV experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Testing, maintenance, and preparation of Asset equipment for projects following QA/QC procedures.
• Coordinate with suppliers to repair damage in-house or arrange external repairs.
• Update maintenance records, calibrations, failures, and close out fault reports.
• Receive, store, and register new equipment in the Asset Tracking System.
• Assist Support Engineers with equipment selection and asset availability for projects.
• Provide technical assistance to offshore survey teams and liaise with suppliers.
• Assist in vessel mobilisations/demobilisations as required by the team.
• Maintain inventory and stock levels of equipment and consumables.
• Contribute to QA/QC procedure improvements.

This is a full time on site role, and you will be part of the Survey Asset department, reporting to the Survey Asset Manager. You will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance and testing of survey and positioning equipment, while supporting related logistical activities.

For this role, we need an individual with electronics equipment experience...it would be very advantageous if this was ROV related, but not essential.

Key responsibilities:

• Testing, maintenance, and preparation of Asset equipment for projects in line with department QA/QC procedures
• Liaise with suppliers to repair damage or faulty equipment in house, or to arrange out of house repairs and following of process
• Update records of equipment maintenance, services, calibration, failure & repairs, and close out fault reports submitted from the offshore teams
• Responsible for the receipt, storage and registering of all new equipment into the department Asset Tracking System
• Assist Support Engineers as required in equipment selection, and Asset availability, as required in support of project requirements
• Provide technical assistance, support and advise to offshore survey teams for any equipment matters and liaise with equipment suppliers to resolve technical issues
• If required, assist vessel mobilisations and demobilisations by liaising with the support team, utilising internal documents as reference
• Maintains inventory and stock levels of all equipment and consumables
• Assist in maintaining necessary tools and equipment registers required to execute survey equipment maintenance and repair
• Working according to the department QA/QC procedures, standards and specifications and contribute to their improvement
