Job summary

Ferrovial Construction is leading HS2 Track Systems under a BAM Joint Venture, delivering high‑profile surveying that shapes UK rail infrastructure. You will steer the surveying strategy, oversee design and construction, and promote digital methods across Lot 2.

The role starts at HS2 offices in Euston with travel to Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire. You will lead, mentor and develop survey teams, ensuring compliance with HS2 requirements while driving innovation and data integration

Qualifications

• Senior surveying leadership experience on major civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience delivering rail or track works is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of surveying standards and digital workflows.
• Ability to lead teams and mentor surveying professionals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Survey Management Plan for the HS2 Track Systems contract.
• Lead survey activities across design and construction, including control networks, setting out, monitoring, and as‑built verification.
• Ensure activities align with engineering, commercial, digital and programme requirements.
• Lead technical assurance and quality control, ensuring HS2 compliance and industry standards.
• Manage stakeholder interfaces with HS2 Ltd, design teams, JV partners and authorities.
• Drive digital construction innovations and integrated data workflows.
• Mentor surveying teams and promote professional development and accreditation.
