Job summary

ARM is seeking an experienced Wastewater Treatment Maintenance Technician to support a major Surrey programme of maintenance across multiple wastewater sites. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical plant, diagnose faults, and implement repairs to keep plants safe, compliant and operational.

This role requires a time-served background, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a field-based environment.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ/C&G Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Previous experience working with mechanical and/or electrical plant.
• Experience of planned and reactive maintenance and fault finding.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• IT literacy.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical plant.
• Fault find, diagnose, test, install, modify and repair equipment.
• Respond to alarms and identify and resolve faults.
• Complete maintenance activities safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Record work and asset information accurately.
• Identify potential risks, defects and areas for improvement.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant standards, regulations and site operating procedures.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
