Job summary

ARM LIMITED is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a three-month contract to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across wastewater treatment works. You will diagnose faults, install and repair equipment, respond to alarms, and record asset information while upholding health, safety and environmental standards.

The ideal candidate has a time-served apprenticeship or NVQ/C&G Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, strong independent working skills, and a Full UK

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship with mechanical/electrical experience.
• NVQ/C&G Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with mechanical and/or electrical plant.
• Experience in planned and reactive maintenance and fault finding.
• Strong health and safety understanding.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• IT literacy.
• Full UK driving licence.

Job description

You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across wastewater treatment works, ensuring plant and equipment remains safe, compliant and operational.

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical plant.
• Fault find, diagnose, test, install, modify and repair equipment.
• Respond to alarms and identify and resolve faults.
• Complete maintenance activities safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Record work and asset information accurately.
• Identify potential risks, defects and areas for improvement.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant standards, regulations and site operating procedures.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician to secure a three-month contract supporting a large-scale programme of essential wastewater infrastructure maintenance.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Time-served apprenticeship with significant mechanical/electrical experience, or NVQ/C&G Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Previous experience working with mechanical and/or electrical plant.
• Experience of planned and reactive maintenance and fault finding.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
