Job summary

Inspiring Vet Care is seeking a Surgical Veterinary Nurse to join Moorview Referrals in Northumberland on a 40-hour week. You’ll work within a busy, multidisciplinary surgery service across orthopaedics, soft tissue and spinal cases, with a flexible rota (5x8h or 4x10h) and a 1:5 weekend shift pattern.

The role offers training, support and opportunities to develop advanced nursing skills. Qualified RVNs with RCVS registration and strong teamwork will thrive in our collaborative, client-focused

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Nurse with RCVS registration.
• Experience in surgical nursing and anaesthesia.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to learn and work across multiple surgical disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality nursing care for surgical patients.
• Assist in orthopaedics, soft tissue, and spinal procedures.
• Monitor anaesthesia and patient recovery.
• Prepare patients for theatre and scrub in as needed.
