Job summary

purovets in Middlesbrough is seeking an experienced Senior Surgical Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join its friendly, nurse-led team. This role focuses on surgical nursing, anaesthesia and advanced veterinary care, with opportunities to develop leadership and management skills.

You will work across a varied caseload, supporting general anaesthesia, orthopaedics and imaging, with a 4-day week, no weekends and generous CPD and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience as an RVN in a surgical setting.
• Strong surgical nursing and anaesthesia skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care across a varied caseload.
• Support vets with surgical procedures and anaesthesia.
• Monitor patients under general anaesthesia and peri-operative care.
• Support orthopaedic procedures and advanced imaging.
• Maintain excellent clinical standards and patient safety.
• Collaborate with the wider veterinary team.
