Job summary

inspiring vet care is seeking a Surgical Veterinary Nurse for Moorview Referrals, offering full-time or part-time options. The role spans orthopaedics, soft tissue, neurology and more, in a modern Northumberland referral hospital with advanced imaging and anaesthesia support.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, deliver high‑quality nursing care to complex cases, and enjoy a flexible rota of 40 hours across 8am–8pm, with 5×8 or 4×10 shifts and a 1:5 weekend rota; part-time considered.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in surgical nursing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.
• A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic imaging such as CT and radiography
• Monitoring anaesthesia
• Supporting patient recovery
• Preparing patients for theatre
• Scrubbing in to procedures where required
