Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) in North Wales is seeking Band 2 Health Care Support Workers for the Surgical Assessment Unit at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. You will join a supportive team, delivering patient care with emphasis on communication, teamwork and initiative.

Training, mentorship and support will be provided. Applicants should have care experience, preferably in a hospital environment; Welsh language skills are desirable.

Qualifications

• NVQ 2
• Experience in working within the EQ

Responsibilities

• Carry out delegated nursing tasks for a varied group of patients, including those with physical/mental disabilities or illness.
• Assist with intimate care, feeding, and daily activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and inform nursing staff of changes in patient condition.
• Recognise urgent situations and respond appropriately under supervision.
