Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a Healthcare Assistant for a nine-month fixed-term post supporting a specialist clinical service delivering minor surgery. The role focuses on patient care in clinic sessions, assisting during procedures, room and equipment prep, and patient monitoring throughout treatment.

Applicants should have UK theatre/clinical experience, with vasectomy or urology exposure preferred, and must have the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6-12 months UK experience as Healthcare Assistant in a theatre environment.
• Experience supporting vasectomy, urology or similar minor procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support throughout clinic sessions.
• Assist clinicians and nursing staff during minor surgical procedures.
• Prepare and maintain clinical rooms, equipment and consumables to a high standard.
• Monitor and support patient wellbeing before, during and after procedures; report concerns.
