Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Associate Practitioner to join Surgical Outpatients. You will work within a busy multidisciplinary team to support clinics and deliver high-quality, patient-centred care throughout the outpatient journey.

The post reports to the Surgical Outpatients Senior Sister/Matron and offers opportunities for professional development, flexible working where possible, and involvement in service improvements to meet growing patient needs.

Qualifications

• Nursing Associate on the NMC register.
• Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Overseas nursing qualification with UK Academic level 5.
• Experience in a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience communicating complex information.
• Knowledge of nursing procedures in an acute hospital.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of patient-centred care in Surgical Outpatients.
• Assist with clinics and ensure smooth patient flow.
• Maintain accurate patient records and support improvement initiatives.
