Job Description:

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
• ILS certification.
• Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
• Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
• Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations.
• Previous experience working within an acute healthcare environment.

Duties of this role include:

• Deliver safe, quality care for patients during their perioperative phase. Support and assist in the management and organization of care within the Operating Department.
• Assist in delivering patient care.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of colleagues and oneself.
• Apply and promote evidence-based practices within scope of practice.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act, ensuring safety measures for patients, relatives, visitors, staff, and contractors.
• Achieve objectives and demonstrate CHG behaviors consistently.
• Assemble, check, and prepare surgical equipment, instruments, and consumables for various operative procedures.
