Job Description:

Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) operates in over 40 countries, providing local expertise through in-country commercial bankers. CCB aims to be the preferred global bank for trade-oriented, mid-sized companies, offering client-centric solutions for long-term growth and facilitating cross-border opportunities. CCB UK targets clients with revenues between US $100MM – US $3BN, supporting financial solutions such as treasury and trade, financing, and derivatives products.

The Relationship Associate supports Relationship Managers in managing Mid-Market client banking needs, deepening relationships, and onboarding new clients across the UK Industrials sector. This role acts as a primary contact for Mid-Market clients, providing daily support for their banking requirements.

Key Skills & Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers to deliver exceptional banking and operational support to Mid-Market clients.
  2. Gather and analyze client information to support discussions and represent Banking coverage confidently during client meetings.
  3. Assist in engaging local coverage teams and navigating Citi's extensive network for client support.
  4. Build relationships within Citi's network and operational teams, becoming a key contact for client requests and issue resolution.
  5. Share best practices across Citi teams to ensure top-tier relationship management.
  6. Understand and identify opportunities across banking products including Transactional Banking, FX, Trade, Treasury, and Lending.
  7. Manage a portfolio of key client relationships, coordinating with product partners and risk management teams for credit and documentation processes.
  8. Lead client onboarding activities, including due diligence and documentation, liaising with KYC/AML teams.
  9. Ensure controls are in place for client onboarding and renewals, leading remediation efforts if needed.
  10. Navigate internal systems for data management related to credit, KYC, and client reporting.
  11. Serve as a key relationship point for routine banking queries and problem resolution.
  12. Drive customer satisfaction by monitoring and resolving service escalations.
  13. Coordinate communication among Bankers, Product teams, and other partners, acting as a Client Owner.
  14. Manage deal entry and documentation through Salesforce/CRM, supporting onboarding and product implementation.
  15. Assist in regulatory reviews and internal meetings, making system adjustments as necessary.

Knowledge/Experience:

  1. Experience in Banking and client-facing roles.
  2. Knowledge of banking processes, onboarding, cash management, and liquidity solutions.
  3. Strong relationship-building skills within Citi.
  4. Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, with project management experience preferred.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM applications.
  6. Understanding of product implementation and onboarding processes is advantageous.

Education:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification.
