Job summary

The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated Band 8a Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join the Surgical team in a full-time, permanent role. The ACP will work within the SAU and surgical wards, providing autonomous, patient-centred care with strong clinical decision-making.

You will join a team committed to education, supervision, and service development, with opportunities to specialise and contribute to research and clinical audit.

Qualifications

• Essential: current UK professional registration (NMC/HCPC).
• Essential: MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent.
• Desirable: Non-Medical Prescribing (V300).
• Supports ongoing professional development and clinical audit.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously assess, examine, investigate, diagnose, plan treatment and discharge surgical patients.
• Prescribe within scope and local policies.
• Collaborate with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.
• Support junior staff and provide education and supervision.
• Maintain thorough and contemporaneous patient records.
