Job summary

Caval Limited seeks a Surfacing Supervisor for a highways project in Lincoln. You will oversee day-to-day surfacing operations, coordinating site teams and subcontractors, ensuring work is safe, on time and of the required quality.

The role requires experience as a Surfacing Supervisor, strong HSE knowledge and SSSTS/SMSTS qualifications; CSCS card and First Aid are preferred. This is a freelance 3-month contract starting 17/08/2026.

Qualifications

• Experience as Surfacing Supervisor on highways projects.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and quality procedures.
• Experience coordinating gangs and subcontractors on site.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day surfacing operations.
• Coordinate operatives, plant and subcontractors.
• Ensure works are completed safely, on time and to specification.
• Monitor quality and progress of surfacing activities.
• Conduct site inspections and toolbox talks.
• Report progress and issues to Site/Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
