T &G Engineering in West Byfleet, Surrey, is seeking a skilled Surface/Rotary Grinder to join our team. The role focuses on precise grinding of complex components in a fast-paced environment, with strict GD&T compliance and adherence to technical documentation.

You will operate Jones & Shipman Surface and Cylindrical Grinders with attachments and a Perfect 400R Rotary Grinder, reading drawings accurately and maintaining quality, safety, and organised tooling storage in a modern workshop.

Formación

• Experience in Surface/Rotary Grinding.
• Ability to read complex technical drawings with GD&T.
• Experience operating Jones & Shipman Surface and Cylindrical Grind ers with attachments and Perfect 400R Rotary Grinder.
• Good organisational skills.
• Passion for engineering and commitment to meet client requirements.

T &G Engineering was founded in 1975 and has become one of Europe’s foremost high precision subcontract machining companies serving and supporting worldwide customers in Can Tooling and special purpose machinery sectors, Aerospace, Automotive, Pharmaceutical and Medical.

Our modern air-conditioned subcontract CNC machining facility is based in West Byfleet Surrey. The latest machinery and equipment in harness with a highly skilled workforce gives us the ability to supply challenging, complex components and difficult to make CNC machined parts and products with extremely close tolerances, improving product performance.

Our specialist area is in the subcontract machining of complex components and assembly parts used for demanding applications and within harsh environments. Job Summary:

We are currently looking for a skilled Surface/Rotary Grinder to join our team. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Includes all aspects of Surface/Rotary Grinding.
• Use of measuring equipment to check components.
• Working on highly complex components with a strict GD&T adherence and being compliance to technical documentation.
• Maintaining quality and safety standards and ensuring tooling is stored in their correct locations.

Requirements:

• Experience in Surface/Rotary Grinding. Cylindrical grinding knowledge would be an advantage.
• The ability to read complex technical drawings with GD&T’s.
• The ability to work on the following machines: Jones & Shipman Surface and Cylindrical Grinders with attachments and Perfect 400R Rotary Grinder.
• Good Organisational skills.
• A passion for engineering and the appreciation and commitment to achieve our client’s requirements is essential.

• Full time hours are 39 hours per week Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.00pm (1/2-hour lunch break) and Friday 7.30am to 2.30pm (No lunch break).
• Holiday entitlement is currently 23 days per annum plus English public/bank holidays.
• You will automatically be enrolled into the company pension scheme which is subject to normal conditions regarding new employees.
