Job summary

GISMIC is a specialized provider of inspection services, NDT, and engineering support for offshore industries. We are seeking a senior SURF specialist to lead material selection, welding and NDE strategy for deep-water projects such as Venus, coordinating with SURF and other packages. English language proficiency is required, with extensive offshore experience and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering with specialization in Materials Science.
• ESSA or IWE qualification is required.
• Fluent English language skills.
• 10+ years in large offshore oil & gas SURF deep water projects.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for design activities under scope and approval of material selection, corrosion, welding & NDE/NDT activities for SURF package of Venus project.
• Reviewing, approving, preparing and managing all studies, drawings specifications, procedures related to SURF Contractor and Suppliers documentation during EPCI phases.
• Assist umbilical and flexible Specialists in all SURF-related matters.
• Work on projects involving Steel Lazy Wave Risers, rigid flowlines and spools in CS/CRA lined pipe and duplex jumpers.
• Provide support to the SURF Technical Manager and liaise with other project package teams.

SURF Material, Welding & NDT specialist.

Missions :

• Responsible for the design activities under his/her scope and approval of the material selection, corrosion, welding & NDE/NDT activities and technical matters related to the SURF package of the Venus project.
• Reviewing, approving, preparing and managing all studies, drawings specifications, procedures, … from the SURF Contractor, Suppliers and Sub-Suppliers documentation related to the Service Holder field of expertise during EPCI phases.
• Assist the umbilical and flexible Specialists in all matters related to the Service Holder field of expertise.
• The projects consist of Steel Lazy Wave Risers (SLWR), rigid flowlines and rigid spools in CS and CRA lined pipe (WOL/MLP/HRB) and rigid jumpers in Duplex, and associated subsea structures, equipment and ancillaries, for a very deep-water oil greenfield project.
• Provide support to the SURF Technical Manager and the SURF team and liaise with other project package teams (SPS and FPSO).

Profile :

• Qualification: Master’s degree in engineering, with specialization in Material Sciences, ESSA or IWE qualification,
• Languages: English
• Relevant Experiences and qualifications in NDT as AUT, Phased Array, TOFD, IWEX
• Experience within project: at least 10 years in large offshore oil & gas SURF deep water projects
• Additional features:
  • Good knowledge of relevant codes (DNV), and preferably of TotalEnergies General Specifications, procedures and policies.
  • Previous experience with Major SURF Contractors during project execution for deep water project.
  • Positive, constructive, proactive and pragmatic mindset.
  • Ability to work within large teams with other parties (Contractors, suppliers, HQ technical teams, etc).
