Job summary

Comsip, a subsidiary of VINCI Energies Oil & Gas, seeks a SURF Material, Welding & NDT Specialist for an engineering services role in London, starting December 2026. The contract ranges from 1 year to 3 years and renewable, with the work at Contractor’s premises.

The Service Holder will lead design activities for SURF material selection, corrosion, welding and NDT, supporting the Venus project during EPCI phases and liaising with SURF contractors, suppliers and sub-suppliers.

Qualifications

• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Experience with SURF, material selection, corrosion, welding and NDT concepts.
• Ability to review and approve studies, drawings, specifications and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Design activities within SURF scope and approve material selection and NDT/welding activities.
• Review, approve, prepare and manage SURF studies, drawings, specifications and procedures during EPCI.
• Assist umbilical and flexible specialists in related SURF field activities.

MISSIONS CONTEXT

The Service Holder will be responsible for the design activities under his/her scope and approval of the material selection, corrosion, welding & NDE/NDT activities and technical matters related to the SURF package of the Venus project.

This will include but not be limited to reviewing, approving, preparing and managing all studies, drawings specifications, procedures, … from the SURF Contractor, Suppliers and Sub-Suppliers documentation related to the Service Holder field of expertise during EPCI phases.

The Service Holder shall also assist the umbilical and flexible Specialists in all matters related to the Service Holder field of expertise.

The projects consist of Steel Lazy Wave Risers (SLWR), rigid flowlines and rigid spools in CS and CRA lined pipe (WOL/MLP/HRB) and rigid jumpers in Duplex, and associated subsea structures, equipment and ancillaries, for a very deep-water oil
