Job summary

Envision Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Hemel Hempstead. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm with a September 2026 start, offering an opportunity to support pupils' learning and development in a safe, inclusive classroom.

You will work closely with teachers to support varied learning needs, strengthen pupil confidence and behavior, and help prepare resources.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 months' UK experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, tutoring, sports coaching, youth work, or similar setting.
A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Support pupils individually, in small groups, and within the classroom.
Assist the class teacher with delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
Support children with a range of learning abilities and additional needs where required.
Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
Follow safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies at all times.
