Job summary

Transforming Support Sussex is recruiting for Support Workers to join its team at Harvest Rise in Littlehampton. You will support adults with learning disabilities and complex needs to live more independently, helping with daily living, community involvement and skill development.

The role is full-time and permanent, with a rolling two-week rota, and comes with benefits including a discretionary £1,000 annual bonus, 28 days annual leave, a fully funded enhanced DBS check and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Minimum six months’ care or support experience.
• Commitment to person centred support.
• Ability to work rolling two week rota.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Providing consistent, person centred support reflecting each individual’s needs, preferences and goals.
• Supporting individuals with everyday living and maintaining independence.
• Helping people choose daily routines, activities and lifestyle.
• Assisting access to local community, appointments and social activities.
• Providing health needs and medication support per procedures.
• Helping manage tenancy, finances and household responsibilities.
• Building positive relationships with individuals, families and professionals.
• Encouraging confidence, independence and positive risk taking.
• Maintaining accurate support records and documentation.
• Following safeguarding, health and safety and risk management procedures.
• Collaborating with colleagues to provide consistent support.
