Job summary

St Joseph's Specialist Trust in Cranleigh, Surrey, seeks a Supported Living Worker to help adults with additional needs live meaningful lives. You will provide compassionate care, support daily activities, and promote independence in a semi-guided living setting.

No previous experience is required; full induction and ongoing training are provided. A driving licence is desirable as some transport may be required. Staff receive a retention bonus and extensive training opportunities.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required.
• Empathy, patience, positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Supporting tenants with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning and shopping.
• Supporting tenants to access the local community and take part in activities and trips.
• Accompanying tenants to college, appointments and other activities.
• Supporting tenants to enjoy leisure time and pursue their interests.
• Encouraging independence and helping tenants develop confidence and life skills.
• Providing patient and consistent support when tenants may feel anxious, frustrated or overwhelmed.
