Job summary

St Joseph's Specialist Trust in Cranleigh, Surrey, is seeking a Registered Manager for the Adult Supported Living service. This permanent, full-time role is 37 hours per week with an on-call commitment, and includes a £1,000 retention bonus.

You will lead a dedicated team, ensure person-centred care, and drive high-quality support while maintaining CQC compliance and regulatory accountability. The successful candidate will hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care or

Qualifications

• Experience managing or leading an adult social care service, ideally within supported living.
• Strong understanding of adult social care, CQC requirements and safeguarding.
• Experience leading and developing staff, managing performance and addressing concerns.
• Ability to prioritise, make sound decisions and remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to dignity, respect, equality, inclusion and person-centred support.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff recruitment, induction, supervision, development and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding requirements and relevant legislation.
• Oversee support plans, risk assessments and incident management.
• Manage staffing rotas, budgets and resources.
• Work with tenants, families, colleagues and external professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
• Monitor service quality and implement improvements.
• Support staff to manage complex situations and changes in tenants' needs.
• Participate in agreed on-call arrangements.
