Overview
To carry out a Companionship with one of our local Clients, taking him out in his own in to the local Community every Sat and Sun. We cover the whole of East Ayrshire. These calls are carried out in blocks of hours for our Clients. No personal care, moving or handling, or medication is involved with this service.
Responsibilities
- To provide a high standard, person-centered Support to clients at all times in a non-judgmental or discriminatory manner
- Providing a positive and friendly approach to Clients in their own homes and respectful of their wishes at all times with a "can-do" attitude
- Communicating with our clients at all levels and being able to problem-solve at times to assist them with any concerns
- Ability to work on own initiative, being reliable and flexible to meet the needs of our Clients
- To be extremely reliable, friendly and sociable with our Clients
- Ensure written records and care plans are maintained and updated where applicable
- Interacting and communicating with the people that you support in a way that promotes dignity, choice and respect at all times
- Assisting with basic meal preparation for the service users we support
- Drivers and non-drivers are welcome to apply for our vacancies
- Work as part of a team at all times and respectful of the service users’ homes and when using their own vehicles within which you will be working
- Ensuring the health, safety and welfare of the clients, whilst maintaining your own health and safety in accordance with our Health and Safety Regulations
- To adhere to the Regulatory bodies in Scotland governing our industry – Basic Disclosure Scotland - and to ensure that all relevant training is continued by each Companion as part of this adherence, and to comply with such requests made by Healthcare Plus Homecare Services Ltd
