Job summary

Quality Service Recruitment Limited are urgently seeking experienced Support Workers to join the day shift team at a home caring for four adults with autism and learning difficulties. You will assist residents with daily living and ensure safety during daytime activities.

Experience in residential or learning difficulties care is essential. You will work with the existing team, follow individualised care plans, and document activities. DBS update service preferred, and shifts run days.

Job description

I am urgently seeking experienced Support Workers to work Day Shifts!

Our client is looking for Experienced Support Workers to work alongside the established team. This home cater for four Adults with Autism and Learning Difficulties. Epilepsy Awareness is desirable but not essential. You will be assisting in the residents with their activities of daily living. You will do regular checks throughout the Day always ensuring their safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the residents with their personal care, ensuring their comfort and dignity is always maintained.


• Follow their residents individualised care plans using their bespoke reporting system to document their activities.


• Work effectively alongside the existing care team to offer their residents a range of activities.

What We Are Looking for:

• Previous experience with Residential or Learning Difficulties care setting is essential due to the nature of their clientele.


• A kind and patient attitude to their care and highly motivated to assist them lead their best lives.


• Good communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and understanding.


• Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

To be suitable for this position you must:

• Have at least three months experience within a Care Home Setting.


• Able to provide references covering the last 2 years of work preferably in Care.


• Up to date Mandatory training in Safeguarding, Infection Control, Moving and Handling


• Have an in-date enhanced DBS check dated within the last 6 months, ideally on the update service. If not don’t panic, we can help you.

This is an ongoing role that can become permanent for successful candidates.

Shift times are:

Days – 07)0 to 1430

Other shifts are available on request, especially bank holidays.

Rates of pay are £12.75 per hour. Other shifts are available at premium rates. You will also accrue up to 28 days paid holiday per year.
