Job Title: Support Worker - CAMHS Children Services


Location:

Manchester

Job Summary:

We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Support Workers to work wit CAMHS service users.

You will play a crucial role in supporting children with a variety of needs, including emotional, behavioural, and developmental challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support to children in residential, community, or home settings.
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.
  • Implement individual care and support plans in line with the child’s needs.
  • Assist with daily routines including meals, education support, and recreational activities.
  • Support children with emotional regulation, social skills, and behaviour management.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with families, social workers, education staff, and other professionals.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children in a care or support setting.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with children and young people.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Relevant qualifications in Health & Social Care or Childcare (desirable).
  • PMVA
