Support Workers, Waking Nights - Weymouth

£13.41 per hour

Part-Time (22 hours per week)

Dimensions are looking for caring Waking Night Support Workers in Weymouth to support 3 people throughout the night, ensuring the appropriate support is given in line with the risk assessment and support plan while also carrying out a number of key allocated tasks.

Role responsibilities may include:

• Carrying out “keeping safe checks” at regular intervals to ensure the people we support are safe and comfortable.
• Ensuring the environment is clean and sanitary.
• Keeping written records using IT systems, including support plans, incident logs, and health and safety records.
• Creating a calm, therapeutic environment for the people we support.
• Supporting people to make the most of their late evenings and nights when they wish to.
• Providing personal care when required.

The three people we support have learning disabilities, and staff will be required to complete personal care tasks. You will receive training in alternative communication methods such as pictures on a tablet or Makaton sign language.

Shift details:

Support Workers will work 2 night shifts per week (20:00-07:00), with one shift on weekends on alternate weeks.
