Job summary

Affinity Trust is seeking part-time night care workers for 16 hours per week in Newbury, working two wakes nights from 10:00pm to 6:00am. You will support adults with learning disabilities in their homes, helping with daily routines, fostering independence, and promoting community connections.

Full training provided; opportunities to complete an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care. Some weekend work may be required; DBS check, travel, and onboarding processes are part of the role.

Responsibilities

Who will I support?

We currently have 2 part time positions working 2 nights per week in one of our supported living locations supporting adults with learning disabilities.

You will be working in their home, so it’s important you can connect, whether its because they like to stay up late and watch a film, listen to Music with a hot chocolate, or enjoy a relaxing bath before going to bed. Or they may be early risers and want your support to get up and ready for the day ahead, and so your role will be to provide responsive support during the night and early morning as required.

Our nights run from 10.00pm - 6.00am You will need to be able to work flexibly, including some weekends.

You will need to be able to attend training and meetings during the day as required.

You will help people to do things themselves to be as independent as possible.

You will support people to be a part of their community, joining local clubs and connecting with friends and family.
