Job summary

Cygnet Clynsaer in Carmarthenshire, set in the Welsh countryside near Llandovery, is seeking a dedicated full-time Support Worker to help adults with learning disabilities and complex needs develop independence and engage with their communities.

You will work day shifts 8:00am–9:00pm in a 24/7 service, with full induction and training, ongoing support, and clear career progression opportunities within a values-driven care environment.

Qualifications

• No prior care experience required; full training provided.
• Induction training and ongoing support are included.

Responsibilities

• Providing compassionate, person-centred support while promoting dignity, choice and respect
• Supporting individuals with personal care and daily living activities
• Assisting with meal preparation and encouraging healthy lifestyles
• Maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable home environment
• Helping individuals develop independence and essential life skills
• Supporting access to education, leisure and community activities
• Following support plans, positive behaviour support strategies and risk assessments
• Administering medication following training and competency assessments
• Maintaining accurate records and contributing to effective handovers
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals
